If you’re heading on a weekend break and need to squeeze all of your things into hand luggage, and you’re looking to save some space, you’re in the right place! We’re here with 3 really simple things you can do to save a bit of space and still take everything you need for the weekend. So, let’s get into it and help you to get packing!
Buy Toiletries At The Airport
The first thing you should do which saves so much space in your bag is to buy toiletries at the airport! Toiletries take up so much room and weight, plus if you’re only allowed hand luggage, you’re limited to how many liquids you’re allowed to take with you! Only take with you things that you know you can’t buy at the airport or when you arrive, such as specific medicine or skincare. Then, buy everything else at the airport. You can get good deals on the mini toiletries when you buy a few at a time. We’d advise taking a list so you know exactly what you need and don’t get carried away whilst you’re there! This is a simple hack and probably the one that will save you the most room.
Plan Your Outfits
When you’re packing, it’s so tempting to get carried away and take lots and lots of different outfits with you. However, with a small amount of hand luggage, this isn’t always an option! So, take an hour or so to go through your wardrobe and plan out your outfits properly. Think about the different activities you’ll be doing, then plan accordingly.
Try to think about items you can take that you can wear multiple times during your trip to save space, such as items you can dress up or down like jeans, and also items that you can dress up or down. Taking something like a mens full tracksuit is also a good idea, as you can mix and match your different items throughout the trip to create lots of different outfit combos. Just remember to wear your larger and heavier items on the plane if possible to save even more space! The tip of choosing items you can wear more than once also goes for your shoes, so try to take shoes that you can wear both in the day and the evening!
Roll Instead Of Fold
Another thing you can do to save space, especially when you have a small bag to fit everything into, is to roll your clothes! When you roll instead of fold, it helps to remove all of the air to reduce the space that your items take up. It can also help to reduce wrinkles on the clothes when you roll properly. Whether it’s your mens streetwear, delicate dresses or knitwear you’re packing, get rolling and you’ll notice you save quite a bit of space in the process! Give this a go if you don’t believe us and we’re sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
