Dear Friends: Ohnalee--Mermaid of Heceta Head, is the first book in a planned trilogy. I started writing about Ohnalee in the summer of 2006 when I first discovered her story. The book contains historic photos of Florence, Oregon in the early 1900s, and also includes many sketches of Margaret Rose Lavell and her friends which I did during the winter of 2006-2007 in my cabin in Leadville, Colorado.
My original art has been computer enhanced to
make my characters come to life with more energy and realism while still remaining true to the original work. All the sketches in my book will be available in color prints soon. All works are under copyright and may not be reproduced without permission.
